It would be interesting to see if they were any good. As said my experience with the MTS is it is a decent enough standard Mig for Alu but the synergic side for Alu is miles out and no use at all. Just makes you wonder how the pulse version would be, chances are not that great, but you never know but certainly not worth splashing £900 to see.

I did a little bit of alu on my mts 255 and found the synergic curve to be OK, but I had no other aluminium mig experience to compare it with.

Well mine wasn't, voltage was far too low to get anywhere near spray.

Don't get me wrong though, the MTS was/is (still have it) great in manual mode and I was very impressed with it, it did a lot more than I expected.
Never tried it on anything other than Alu in Mig mode though so can't say how well the synergic side did in steel or stainless.

I did some stainless Tig and it was decent at that once you got used to the lift start and also some stainless stick welding. Found it a bit poor on the stick until I found the Arc Force and adjusted it and then it was good. I bought it for Alu Mig though and that was really all it was used for.
I actually used it a couple of weeks back, had been welding up corrosion pitting in the hull of a Catamaran and had used the EWM to great effect. A few days later they found more but I decided to just use the MTS as it was a lot easier to get it up onto the Cat, bad mistake really as I expended more effort climbing in and out of the bow many times to adjust the voltages on the varying thicknesses of Alu, would have been less effort getting the EWM there

Picomig 180 Pulse, Weight is only 15Kg and it has 4 roll wire feed, which would be important especially if you plan to weld aluminium. Also has polarity switchover exernally for gasless wire without having to open up the machine :-)

Except of the TER products (that have a very distinguisable & unusual design), they also sell Riland and the T&R welders. T&R is a joint venture company (TER & Riland) and produce Industrial welders for the European market. Italian design & technology, made in China (for lower cost).
I have bought from TER my Riland 175GD at the end of 2016. The machine is used mainly with flux cored wire (AWS E71T-11). Until now, I have nothing to complain about the machine and the customer service of TER. Few weeks ago, I contacted them again, as I am looking for a 200A AC/DC TIG welder (1 phase). They suggested the Multi-Wave AC/DC , but their price (1275 EUR + VAT + shipping) seems very high for a Chinese-made welding machine, while similar products from China (ie Parweld XTT-202) are sold at much lower prices. The T&R machine is ruled out from my list, due to its high price.

I never progressed any further down the 'buying a new mig welder' avenue but...
As an experiment (I don't actually have an immediate requirement) I'm considering ordering the cheapest pulse-mig I can find on AliExpress, I present the Hitbox PTMaster 185:
I'm considering buying, reviewing in detail for the benefit of the forum, keeping for 6 months and if I don't use it then selling it on. Just in discussion with the seller about a few details and then I might go ahead with this crazy scheme...
I'm also considering buying the cheapest inverter mig I can find on eBay UK, the Blackline 200A machine from RallyDesign and doing a review on that for everyone's benefit...

In fact,if the powers that be agree,how about a raffle,£5 a ticket with 100 tickets only, you do the review and lucky winner gets the mig, I would be up for that,reason being why should you risk your pennies when a fiver each,only one per member, wouldnt be a loss really and one member would be happy,small surplus going to forum coffers.

Rather expensive layout for a forum review isn’t it Hugh. Wouldn’t you be best off buying something you know. As much as I like to contribute on here with info I wouldn’t splash out £400 on a machine that could quite literally be a load of junk just to give it an honest review. You say sell it on well you’ll be lucky to see a chunk of that back imo. It’s not a known brand it’s not a trusted brand and people ain’t gonna risk it unless the price is low enough to risk it. Fair play to you mate but I can potentially see a big money loss here.
