ive always used 2k thinner in Max Meyer and PPG. Never had a problem but I believe some base coats are sensitive.

was you using the universal thinner ?

Thanks Mate errr last question, what thinners? do you use 2k thinners or is there a special one for base coat?

I find its a better lay with basecoat thinner, it's a little slower which allows it all to settle
