Some, it failed the gas leak test so will be replacing the regulator, pigtail and clamps. The bottle is insecure so need to get a holder for that.
It's got the wrong pipe on the diesel filler neck and the jubilee clip is corroded.
The fuel water separators have glass bowls so they need to be replaced with metal. They have only been on there for 29 years too.
Batteries are not strapped down, they never have been from new.
Lots of wiring to tidy up and secure.
There is a nick on one of the fuel hoses so that needs sorting as does fixing the fuel pipework the engineer bodged up a few weeks ago.
Fire extinguishers are all well old so could do with being serviced or replaced and the automatic halon ones in the engine compartment have to be removed.
The plastic fuel filter on the diesel heater can be replaced with a glass one which is strange as I can't have glass bowls on the water/fuel separator.
He also wants me to cut an access hole inside a cupboard so he can look at the gas fitting on the back of the fridge.
Considering its passed a number of these tests before and all I have done is fix stuff I'm a little surprised it's failed on a lot of these items now and not before.

Plus they will *never* walk away giving you a clean bill of health, they always have to find something to snag you on

Quite normal for them to want to view the back of a fridge, cooker etc. just cut an access door in the cupboard or something next to it.

Most of it will be minor rollacks, hose clips/gas hose out of date/not enough vents/maybe incorrect fuel flex hoses/something under engines to catch oil leaks to stop bilge pump chucking oil out into the river, a tin tray on brackets is sufficient.
Note on tidal waters boat cert not required.

Wrong hoses is spot on, it's got exhaust hose for the fuel filler so that needs changing.
I'll fit the proper metal parts on the filters if I can find some. Pretty annoyed with that as I prefer the glass as it makes diagnosing issues much easier.

Don't see fire being the problem with glass, if it gets that hot your boat would be toast anyway. Isn't it to do with damage from being knocked? So a mesh around it would be sufficient?Wrong hoses is spot on, it's got exhaust hose for the fuel filler so that needs changing.

I've spent the weekend working through the list of jobs I need to do. I've come across an issue with needing 45mm fuel pipe for the filler bit it's not available is iso7840 hose. It's 38 or 51mm only so neither of those are any good.
He told me the gas locker needed sorting so today I derusted it, used rust converter and painted it. Note there is no way of securing the gas bottles so I have a couple of bottle straps on order and I'm thinking of finding some kind of matting to go down on the bottom.
Whilst I had the paint out I also sorted the storage locker.
I'm going to have the bottle reg and pigtail replaced as these are from 2003 and the system tested for leaks.
I also tried to have the sewage tank pumped out but the deck fitting is seized. I've ordered a 17mm impact hex and will let some ugga duggas have a go next Friday.

I don't bother with them frankly.
I actively remove them.
I empty thé water tanks at thé end of thé season, refill them in spring, add chlorine to kill any bactéria, leave it a week, flush and refill.
Never had any probs.
