We did the bottom seal on the VW LT35 the small pipe on the plastic housing broke off so i drilled a hole in what was left then used super glue to fix in a bit of 8mm copper pipe and added some baking soda and glue as a shoulder to help it. View attachment 402385View attachment 402386

Or a gaztubeYou ought do a proper, readily findable write-up on that process, for those of us with crappy memories.
Just got one similar myself, really pleased with it although filthy and covered in all the usual detritus. Anyway its been cleaned and partly reassembled but I am in a slight quandary over the starter switch. It still has the original Startet switch, complete with asbestos insulation. Now would it be advisable to replace this with a modern switch, or can I use the original. It’s not going to be used in an industrial setting, nor is it likely to be left in the event of a power failure. Any help, advice or guidance gratefully accepted.Start of a journey.
Old Tauco, (Delta) drill.
Clock spring refitted the correct way round. How the previous owner didn't notice I'll never know.

It retracts!
The drill will probably come apart in future, but at least I know this bit can be corrected. Kept me out of mischief for the evening.
