Actually much as I do to the other half - I did manage to get her to actually wash her car for the first time ever the other month - and even polish it! She's owned two cars over a good number of years and had never washed a car!

One of the apprentices at work did that to his own pride and joy, his first car, he never lived it down!

Well I fixed the parts to fix this!
Some monster of a wood chipping unit that eats waste wood for a boiler and making compost, I was told repeatedly white they were waiting for me to do my thing “I’ve got 50 grands worth of gear sat their clogging the yard up! Costing money”
Their was 11 of theses bars that bolt to a pair of chains that move the wood along to the business end, but thru lack of maintenance the chains were stretched and drive teeth looked like struck matches!
Results were the bars catching the floor and trying to flip over bending the lugs and causing one hell of a mess.
Multiple pass welds with a strip of hard facing on the back side where they run on a edge.
Also massive thanks to Brad for trying to sort the tabs for me in a mass rush, really appreciate it!

his guy has 3 of them, not all the same one smaller one bigger, along side a firewood business, compost, oh and one of the biggest agricultural contractors in the NW. I was very keen to do a good job on this as it will (and has) led to more work, the kind of work where I don’t have to put quotes in and chase farmers for money

Finally sorted the downpipe out, temporarily had it draining into the sink. I was thinking I'd have to get someone to 3d print me a branch at a funky angle, I didn't know they made 92.5 degree elbows. It seems they don't do 92.5 branches.

ladies and gentlemen of the 'new to electricals' club if you please.....

please please bear the following in mind and consider it a imprisonable offence if you do not.

NEVER EVER EVER use insulation tape to wrap looms! it degrades with time or heat or fuel or oil or just about any condition imaginable and leaves a nasty mess after a short time. add to that, even when new it looks crap!


please use loom tape. it has that name for a reason!
I've just spent 4 hours going from this mess (wish id taken detailed pics!)

to this....

much better.

note the two new econoseal connectors for the indicators and the lack of tangling. I've also extended and repaired the horn loom so that will work now. (twisted together and taped is no good, gentlemen!)

its rather unhappy. i was trying to diagnose a start and dies issue (which i have now found the electrical fault causing it) and it locked up.

not very surprising...

span a conrod bearing. explains why 'it started rattling and lost power'

For some reason I had it in my head it was a GSXR.

tt600. £300 warranted engine with 28k on it is winging its way towards me now.

the cause is obvious... the silicone fairy has at some point visited rather than fitting new casing gaskets. and he used so much i found lumps of silicone in the coolant passageways round the cylinder liners!

As for the silicone fairy, you see them on u tube squirting a great thick line along a joint like they're icing a cake!
What squeezes out on the external will be the same inside
