Cheers. I use Wickes bitumous emulsion. It goes on like tar and dries like matt paint. Grand stuff!

Good gear. If I remember correctly they used to do a bitumen paint for wood and concrete that was excellent. Nearly as good as the stuff my old man used to bring home from BG.

Funny thing is for the first nine months of us having him he was never taken into the garden unless on his short lead , to his specially constructed 9x 7 foot well drained daily washed toilet area . Alway on a lead and always on a path , he became like the trained flea in a lidded jar after so many thwarted attempts at getting away he gave up and simply took himself to the loo , rarely ever straying on the lawns .
So far after the 14 years he's been with us he's never attempted to jump over next doors two foot high garden wall that separates our properties . .

I put some shelving up and completed my storage system in the shed mostly reclaimed items for the shelves and lower support, from kitchen cupboard doors to pallets from work. The 2 drawer filing cabinet was also thrown out at work. It is fibreglass which I thought was unusual?

I didn't make these, but I spent most of the weekend on them nonetheless:

I picked them up (a mixture of Stanley and Marples) second hand for peanuts quite a while ago, but I already had a set of Narex chisels so they went in a drawer and have stayed there ever since. I decided to pull my finger out and sharpen them, then I looked at the back. Whoever had previously owned these obviously didn't do much paring: there was a big bevel on the back, so getting the backs flat took a lot of very, very boring work. The two on the right-hand side were so far off on one corner that I gave up, cut the corner off and turned them into skew chisels. I'm now feeling very relieved that the job is over with: I don't think I'll buy any more second hand chisels without looking at the back very carefully! All 25° main bevel with a very slightly higher angle micro-bevel.

Today i have eventually bothered to put a 30A socket on my Lidil plasma (40a version) and now can cut 12mm without half a dozen 13amp fuses on standby.

Today I painted one of my lorry mudguards. As I couldn't be bothered to get the spraying gear our I used a roller. Unfortunately making a texture finish. But It will be covered in crap in time to come so it will have to do

Ferrari cam covers are wrinkle painted. Did a set of Ford v8 covers years ago in wrinkle paint.

Excellent results with stripping some garden furniture today, used a Norton rapid wood strip disk and saved a lot of time and effort.

Don’t you believe it, after my dad passed away my mum kept his JR for a while bit on letting the dog out into the back garden he would take a run at the 6ft fence panels and scramble over to make his escape

My parents had a Jack Russell, when Dad died the dog used to turn on mother! The dog used to try & control her, it was a difficult dog when my father was alive, it got itself banned from dog training classes for bad behaviour.

yea i know ..also know as crinkle paint. I did the same years ago to Yam XS1100 cam covers.

Doesn't the 40a version come with a 16a plug? The 30a ones use the 13a plug.

Wild garlic pesto with my own twist. Don't ask me to recreate it, I just winged it - bloody delicious though.

Edit: trying to freeze the garlic and come up with recipes since we've got an acre of the stuff.
