I made a vegetable garden.
Well in my defence the cold frame was there so a while back I lit a big bonfire in it to kill all the brambles. Reassembled most of the jigsaw that was a partially broken down wall. Then came the fun bit, bolted some scaffolding together, laid a welded mesh sheet over the top and sifted some topsoil into it (only took about 8 cube of soil). Then nipped over to my parents to get some well (15 year) rotted manure. The missus and little one then planted the courgette, marrow and pumpkin she was given by her mother.
IBC of water filled and plonked on a convenient nearby mound. Osmund pipe into big cattle lick bucket as temporary solution for watering.
Why is it that we've been getting presents that require lots of time, first chicks then vegetables. Plan is to automate the watering so at least we don't have to do that.
