You could make up the hand grenade as mentioned earlier , open the trap door point the full can in the direction of the nest rapidly tape the lever up so it is on , set it down then close the trap door .Thanks for tips and tricks much appreciated. I'm only using the steps to rest the tubing . The nest is in the void above the soffit board and really don't want to remove soffit except as a last resort. I'll have a few more goes and then try to fumigate the void with yet another codge up.
Could you use a small 2-3 litre Bosch / Kaercher type genuine steam generator and after unplugging the slicer work on it from top to bottom whilst it's stood on an oven rack over the sink ? It will be sterile where you blast it with steal at 106 oC .93 packs of smoked bacon 5 mm thick all sliced and vacuum packed. I went for a leaner breed this year and it seems to have paid off.
I hate cleaning bacon slicers - why oh why don't they smooth the contours instead of making them with nooks and crannies everywhere. Oh for a water proof one that could be pressure washed !

Do you have to bolt on a sacrificial anode close to the final metal work you have repaired ?It's 1.2m of U section, with a plate holding the lower pivot, which I reclaimed from the old one and welded on.
M12 A2 stainless bar, washers and nuts, and a couple of tubes of PU gloop.
The holes were well squiffy, on the original, I just copied squiffy holes.
Not really ...... seeing as you are on here you'll think it through & do a decent jobA roof , almost there now, it doesn't half frustrate you when it isn't your trade.

The trouble is the way this slicer is made considerable amounts of skin and fat get trapped round the various shields and guards especially round the blade. It weighs a ton, I can barely lift it off the work surface. More thought should have been given to streamlining and clean ability at the design stage. It must have taken me the best part of an hour to get it properly cleaned which involves a fair amount of dismantling. It’s a Nesbits one and iirc wasn’t cheap.Could you use a small 2-3 litre Bosch / Kaercher type genuine steam generator and after unplugging the slicer work on it from top to bottom whilst it's stood on an oven rack over the sink ? Ours seems to make a decent job of of our mincer / sausage filler . We purchased ours 34 years ago ..they are cheaper now than back then & we can still get spares .
It has been used for many many different cleaning situations ..
De-gunging a gopping kitchen , bathroom & toilet in a newly purchased house with it , saved us an absolute fortune as did using the steamer jet & brush to clean all the skirting boards , double glazing windows & doors inside & out . It has also been effectively used in prepping a car for sale . We often use it to clean the slip resist tiles in th wet room / bathroom and to clean the carbonised bamboo kitchen floor

Neh, sod that. Pointless.Do you have to bolt on a sacrificial anode close to the final metal work you have repaired ?
Flat roofes is a disaster.Aarragh .... Flat roofs the bane of the human race .
Dad once said after finding the roof over the bathroom had died and was as good as standing under a shower " Only a C**t t makes a roof flat " .
Why can I not like or love my own post ?Neh, sod that. Pointless.
Bisous, (kisses).
How do you stop it moving around when you use it...??I chopped a foot off the bottom of my English wheel and started rebuilding it so I can bolt casters on but I ran out of gas on the last tac so that’s it for today.

This is about half of the extrusions required, next is the plate.

This had to be dragged into the workshop with the forklift.

The new (first time usage of the approved lifting device), absolutely worked a treat.
