Got some hauler plates in to skim, I was going to do the smaller set last week but ran out of time, glad I did as it means I only have to clean the cast iron from the lathe once
Big plates are bleeding big, each weighs around 35kg and about 480mm dia if I recall, bit of a lift to get onto the lathe and in the chuck but a lot better now I have the foot switch as it means I can hold with both hands whilst clamping.
Just starting.
Couple of passes done, still need another to take the final wear off the taper.
All done.
