Feel your pain, had to have my 16 year old dog put down last month.

Not the best of times, but has to be done.

So sorry to hear this. It's not easy, we've been through it. Try to remember the good times, the fun and pleasure your dog gave you. 17 yrs is a good innings. You'll have plenty of fond memories to look back on...
Sounds like he's suffered towards the end, but now the pain has stopped and he's at be rest. RIP.

The people that fitted my £600 tripple glazed door say that a very low or simple rubber bladder strip threshold isn't available. I have to have their 10 mm raised aluminium one which has made the mean height 22 mm. The joystick electric wheelchair I use has difficulty coping with it even with a 5 mm sheet of ply with a rubberized mat stuck to it , inplace on the inside of the hallway as I have to use creep mode on the chair to get along & out the narrow hallway

made up an adaptor so i can run a rothenberger off a big propane bottle
hacksawed the threaded end off its disposable bottle and silver soldered a hose tail on it , worked oiland chalk into the theads to stop them scaling

Evening came, the last cast-iron hatch was adjusted to the laser level. The height of the floor will rise by at least 18 cm. Where the lathe and milling machines stand, the concrete thickness will be 30 cm + dia12 mm rebar cage in 30 cm increments, in two layers. I will order concrete with PP fiber reinforcement. As a result, there will be a warm workshop of 42 m2.

A 4 hour job into a 6 hour job, got to London docks to deliver and assemble a boat rack and forgot the bolts, thankfully the traffic was good today.

Yesterday... I made some shelves from 1/4" alloy for this repurposed freezer. Will make a great medicines and cool storage cupboard for the cowshed. The top was just bodged up with some prefolded stuff I had lying around.
We also "made" this pile of gifted stainless and alloy material disappear into various storage areas... For some reason we manage to accumulate more cheap or free material than we can use right now... Good problems to have especially when some of the "offcuts" turn out to be full sheets of 3x1.5m's...!
