A pour neck set so the wax form was on its side would have allowed you to centre pour and make up some sort of rotary centrifuge to push the brass out into every nook & cranny before it solidified. Pre heat the mould once it has de waxed . drained out then pourDecided to do the brass melt. 500-600g of brass nuts went in the pot.

Set to 860c but I noticed it starting to rain, turned power up. Element went pop shortly after!

Happy with cows face, cant make out any 3d print lines so may have needed more head.
I didnt expect the text to come out well on the first go. Im a little disapointed it failed where I filled in the wax, hoped the outer ring would be complete... I think the plaster needed more heat - it couldnt have been further from the burnout/pour spec!

What is the cut surface finish on the alloy? Have you tried the raise the water level yet?Today was chopping up 30m of 3" x1/4" wall SHS and 6 sheets of 5mm 5083 and 1m x 1m of 12mm 5083.

The nakiri isn't ideal for cutting noodles though, perhaps a menkiri (not to be confused with Mankini ) should be my next project.
