The packet for this stuff says 1mm layers. Sod that, theres no part of the whole house measured with that precision, so its 3-5mm per layer in places. Slightly concave so I might add a 3rd layer.
I'll then give it a couple hours to set, then blast it with dehumidifer to dry. I need to get this wall papered early Friday!
Hope they're not getting their uniforms dirty!
Lamp oil and a wickHow does it work?
So "everlasting" in the sense of "refillable"?Lamp oil and a wick
Is it stainless? Can you put some dimensions up, I'd like to make one? Always looking for little lathe jobs!Lamp oil and a wick
No seems fine, its now changed to a light grey/pink colour and near ready after some primer.Did it eggshell after dehumidifier drying.
Its not turned its a bit of 5/8 mild steel tube with an m8 nut brazed in either end the bottom one plugged with braze to make it oil tight and an m8 bolt for the top with a 3.2mm hole drilled in for a cotton string wick i shaped the top on the belt sander with it held spinning in my battery drill then polished it. The body of mine is 70mm long but you could make it any size you want. Or turn one that would be a nice job.Is it stainless? Can you put some dimensions up, I'd like to make one? The dodgy fuse was needed to set up a dodgy DC supply, to test a coffee grinder. Worked a treat.I made a replacement fuse in a hurry...

Sounds like a job for a raspberry pie and a hmiThe dodgy fuse was needed to set up a dodgy DC supply, to test a coffee grinder. Worked a treat.

The original controller (Which doesn't work) had a start button and a knob to set the run time from 0 to 30 seconds. Now I know the motor works, I think I'm gonna make a new controller where the knob adjusts the burr speed rather than a timer, because that's a feature you get on higher end grinders and I wouldn't use the timer anyway, I'll weigh 20g of beans in and grind the lot.

That may well be what I do. The timer is supposed to dose the coffee but that's never going to be particularly repeatable, and pretty useless if you regularly change beans, 10 seconds might grind 20g of a dark roast but more like 15g of a lighter roast. Which is why I'm happy to do away with the timer, not that I think burr speed is particularly useful either, but there's a big hole in the case for a dial so I need to control something with it.'Push and hold button' would be simplest if the timer was only 30 seconds.
I'll save that for the espresso machine.Sounds like a job for a raspberry pie and a hmi
