Got to dig out some M4 nylocs:

Made some pins for my press project. A 25mm, then 24mm down to 10mm in 2mm steps. Also got the edges of the plates milled flat and square, after letting the smoke out of my angle grinder cutting them.

Just to add they're all .2mm ish under the sizes stated so that I can push out the stated size (bearings etc) without them binding.

No, it's a piece of Axminster* carpet. Terrible on the eyes but great under foot!

What are you machining?

It’s a Vauxhall Carlton 24v head. You are correct. Lopping two cylinders off and mating to an omega A 2.4 bottom end to create a 16v CIH aka manta 400 incarnation. They were cast strictly as a 16v but this is a way of doing it on a moderately better budget. Still not cheap by any stretch but...

The brazed and aligned result. I used center drill in chuck to set the tool holder height then flipped the bar around and rotated until the tip was on center. The insert angle looks about what I was aiming for so quite happy with that.

Remove the wooden brace once the concrete has set.

I have a blue lever in a box, there are isolators inside and a thermostatic mixer on the hot, i always keep old bits of 22mm barrier pipe to use as sleeves for the 15mm copper.
@roblane65 its getting pointed and a coat of slurry next week so it will hide the bad bits, but yes its a mess.

Not exactly made today and not by me but by my late Mum. Probably 50 years ago. She was a seamstress by trade having been pretty much adopted by a Jewish family when she fell on hard times after coming over from Eire at 15.

Anyway...as a kid I liked anything to do with Action Man. Not having much spare money, this was Mum's take on a German army uniform:

The dexterity she had was pretty amazing. Gutting when dementia got her
