Blacksmithing,finally hung the rest of these fine gates,am very pleased with the results,and I think suit the house and landscape,lots of riveting and discreet welds.
The small gate will be complemented with dry stone walling extending to the posts.

Thin wall tubing day. Start of a prototype product that I will not elaborate on. Biggest tube has an id of 14.1mm. The smallest 7mm. All are 50mm long.

Did I mention the wall thickness?

0,03mm

Now I need to figure out the welding…

hard stop at one end, rotate with your finger

If two pairs of components then add more v blocks.

I don't know anything about your specific Aussie offer, of course, but I called my official Hazet dealer here: Under this designation there is indeed this tool with the identical dimensions as the ThreatMate from @northwest ... ... and Hazet is particularly proud of it: about € 250 including...

Then I primed it (I wanted to galv it but just couldn't justify the cost):

Painted it, and yes, I know what you're thinking, what a lovely colour! No?

And fitted a top!

I need to make a shelf for it and put a sheet of something on the top before bolting the PIllar drill and Milling machine to it.

Unfortunately that is unlikely to be next week now as Mrs RWD is sending me off to the Black Country Museum (built on the site of the old Denbigh Factory as I understand it) and Oldfield Forge for a day of Smithing (can't wait!).

Looks like the colour the machines used to be painted with at the old works, probably chosen so no-one would take any home.

My lad & I are resiting the 3D printer PSU externally. Slides out on draw runners for periodic vacuuming / checking the screw terminals. Bigger csa silicone cables to connect to the printer. Bit of perforated sheet bent and sprayed black at the front. The printer will sit atop this and the cover be made lift on/off for fully enclosed printing of "smelly" plastics:

A bit of wood bothering. You might not think it but with the addition of a dust shoe it’s night and day on how much mess it makes. Doesn’t help the noise much though.
