While I was at the farm they showed me a ditching bucket that they needed to get the pin out of. The pin was more than just a bit rusted in, it would not move even with a pushing ram. So I thought I would cut a section out of the pin and there by only have 50% of the pin to move, all that did was bend the ear so I then had to put a release cut on each ear and open it up with a chisel to get the pin to release. Then weld it back up. I used a Copper plate inside the bore so as to stop the weld running into the bore and causing me headaches. The bucket then had to be converted over to a 3 pin setup so it could be used on two different machines again.

First go at making a brake fluid reservoir on the micro lathe. A bit of chatter on one cut but mostly OK.

Little update

Just a few bits of scrap angle 4 4'' screws

Cut a few inches off the stump,slips over the end of my anvil

Just the right height for me,quite sturdy moves a little,might weld a bolt to it to fix in on proper,otherwise alls good to me

An ancient Esab Lan 315 that was manufactured when god was a boy, I bought it many years ago and it was not exactly new then. They really are a nice welder.

Well ........ this is my first one and I had to get that cut on a companies plasma table

I have had a brief pm back and forth with John regarding the R Tech plasma tables. I am looking to get my own in the near future so I can cut them out and save money on out sourcing.

I was told that the cost was high on the first one because they needed to design it.
It’s all new to me so I went along with it. I was told that any future ones I wanted cut would cost less because the costly time consuming bit was already done.

I have made this in 4 mm plate, it will take two people to move it lol

I will find out on Tuesday how much they will charge me to get another one cut out for you as a kit

nother non welding thing i made today, i have done a little welding a si needed to make a ful sie roof rack for the Berlingo and to tight a gt to buy one.

Ill show the rack when its done, just need a few bits for it.

BUT i am cuffed with this for the boat cupboard top.

Scrap Iroko made into 50mmx50x5mm tiles and stuck onto 9mm ply with Cascamite.

Some may know is was after a belt sander for this and a few other to come jobs.

This Le Tonk is great stuff but a sod with keeping dust off while it sets, still this is the third coat and may be one more needed to fill the grain.
