That is right you are not going to send @roblane65 any.How do I put this……yes. NO.
Never get between a woman and her sweeties.I'd rather yes not even a test piece for quality control purposes .
Sea fishing weight gripper wires in springy stainless wire might be what you need .. sadly I no longer have any left as I had to give up sea fishing 12 yrs ago due to back problems .Made a retaining clip from 316 1.2mm tig wire, which appears to have been a bad choice the problem being that 316 can not be quench hardened and after bending, is still quite soft and easily bends out of shape, as opposed to being hard and springy, retaining the shape.
It appears if I want to use this wire I need to significantly work harden it before bending. Top is the original.

I mostly gave up sea fishing because there weren't any sodding fish worth catching out off the Essex coast...Sea fishing weight gripper wires in springy stainless wire might be what you need .. sadly I no longer have any left as I had to give up sea fishing 12 yrs ago due to back problems .

I can't take all the credit, my apprentice did some of it, she's done pretty well with it really.

11 expensive charter hire trip out of Swansea , Penarth and Pembroke dock where few if any of us caught even a cold , then one day 9 of us boated over 500 kg of mixed bag , I had a 10 kg conger and a large ray as well as a load of pollack than nothing for several years . Till I caught a nice 610 mm bass .I mostly gave up sea fishing because there weren't any sodding fish worth catching out off the Essex coast...
