As I suspected it's a rebadged Weka motor.
Manual says gear oil 160ml

They were surely filled with oil or liquid grease. I don't know bit I will find out and report back.
If you can , would you let me have a few lumps of the baytree if they are two inches or more thick & over a foot long for my pen turning hobby .
Happy to pay costs etc.
Today I made someone unhappy
Yesterday he brought round his father's BT test meter so that I could show him how to use it.
It's a Robin SA9083 line tester, but still has other useful functions. In really mint condition, with a perfect case.

The first thing was to take back of. Surprise, surprise a grotty Everready PP3 that was rusted to buggery. The battery connector was broken, but not enough to stop a replacement battery going in. Things looked good, the LED lit up as it should, but impossible to get a deflection.
Today I took it apart. Oh dear, that doesn't look good

Blackened tracks and, when tested, a burnt out movement.
No I didn't.I
Might just have a meter for that. Robin I think made similar meters for British Gas where my old man worked. Will look.
Sharpened pickaxe again after finding a brick. I dont believe they are hardened but the wdge lasts ages if its only hitting soil, clay and wood.
First time I've heard an axe refered to as an "instrument" - is it really a pickaxe? I thought they were things you dug trenches with?
If you can get it helicopter rotor head bearing red grease should do well in the gear box , we used to use dozens of 5 litre cans of it in 1973 when I was repairing tank transporters & their big Dyson & tasker trailers it's high temp , thick & treacly .They were surely filled with oil or liquid grease. I don't know bit I will find out and report back.
Yes please for any decent diameter wood 3 inches in diameter about a foot long as I have to trim and seal all cuts to stop it splitting as it dries out , at the rule of the thumb rate of 1 inch in diameter per year when stored under cover but outside .I'll likely be removing other bay trees and many other varieties in my work if theres any you want me to keep an eye out for. It will be conifers this week

Pickaxe was stored outside and after todays abuse as a lever, the handle has started to split. Im tempted to soak it in glue and clamp it tight but probably time to replace the handle.
Started up the engine auger first pull after shortening the split fuel hose. It is a great tool, first two post holes drilled in seconds. I was expecting to have more issue with roots/stumps/bricks or concrete!

Rest of afternoon smashing ivy roots and stumps out of the way, as due to the slope, most of the gravel boards will be half buried to get a level fence.
The post is an old 6 foot short one and will need 8 foot for these. Plan to cut it up in two or three lengths to prop gravel boards on the lower end.
If you get smote by someone using one , such as a " Labouring corrosion expert " they will state at your inquest , " You were smote with a blunt or sharp instrument " ,depending if Kram has had his angle grinder on it or not as the case maybe .First time I've heard an axe refered to as an "instrument" - is it really a pickaxe? Years ago in another life I chopped a 28 in diameter fallen oak into three parts using a British Army pick axe so I could recover a stranded 3 ton Bedford RL GS cargo full of batteries . They had a nice sharp cold chisel cutting edge not an apple seed edge .If you get smote by someone using one , such as a " Labouring corrosion expert " they will state at your inquest , " You were smote with a blunt or sharp instrument " ,depending if Kram has had his angle grinder on it or not as the case maybe .
