Do you get to play dress up in the suits n everything?
Flycut?
Can't see any tooling marks to suggest it's a facemill or shell mill.Shell Mill.
Neither actuallyWe will await @Johnnybravo 's reply with the definitive answer, Personally I would have used either (or whatever was nearest) to try to keep the heat down. A million passes with a small endmill would be very counter productive.
Yes, which you won’t get unless the cutter is exactly square to the bed.By exit you mean the back cut?
So effectively the last cut is the back cut?
It really is a crying shame that you are not prepared to post photos of what you are up to. Always sounds really interestingA rather sharp mould, in rather strong sand, which will be poured tomorrow.
Circling the thought of extra stab-finning warily , but think that the sand is strong enough to wangle two or three in...
Maybe....

What I meant is that the time I spend on here over the years I could probably have finished my café racer and the blardy house renovationTo varying degrees, but it is a background illumination of sorts.....
All that stainless and a bit of aluminium flooring . . . The aluminium was never going to stay perfect!Fitted new stainless chequer flooring to this machine platform today. Much easier to do jobs like this when there's nobody there/not in production.
Top was aluminium but had started corroding and was generally rubbish.

Especially with the aggressive chemicals they use to keep the stainless clean and hygienic. All that stainless and a bit of aluminium flooring . . . The aluminium was never going to stay perfect!
