Hi bud, yes I did have the Rebel. A big job came up and I needed a heavy duty plasma cutter. My Lincoln pc210 is ok on thin stuff but you can’t give it stick. I traded the Rebel back to Rapid Welding and picked up the Hypertherm 45xp. As it turns out it was a great move because I have had a lot of use for the bigger plasma machine. I usually run a Lorch mpro252 for my repair work but when I can’t get near enough to the job I use a smaller machine. The Rebel was going to be that machine. I had the kemppi as a back up as well as something to use at home in the cellar. When the opportunity came up to get the fronious I took it.
So currently the Badger inventory for welders is LOL
2 x Lorch Mpro252
1 x Fronious transsteel 2200
1 x Fronious transpocket pulse Arc

That should be whittled down to 1 Lorch instead of 2 but I do like em

Just finished another set of western action shooting targets. The plates are Hardox 500

The hangers angle the targets forward and when hit they swing to deflect bullet fragments towards the ground.
The stands collapse for transport and storage.

And no, I don't shoot them in my garden.

Well guys, the tromell had an elderly moment yesterday and decided to stop working. It turned out that the bearings had worn completely away on one side of the roller and worn out to a lesser degree on the other side of the roller. I was able to knock the remains of the bearing out with my trusty stainless (get outta my way) bar. one side of the roller was ok but the otherwise had worn into the roller housing so a replacement bearing would not have fitted. Next step was to put it in a lathe and remove some metal so that the next size bearing could be fitted. The shaft was also badly scored and a new bearing would not of lasted so I made a new centre shaft for it. The two adjuster housings had also been eaten away by the roller running out of true so I took the plasma to them and gave them some love as well. All being well it will just slot back together on Monday.

I used the Lorch I keep in the cellar for the welding but the wind was really kicking up this afternoon and keeping the gas where it needed to be was a pain in the ass
