I could do with some of that.dissolves timescale very effectively.
Thats due to wrapping kids in cotton wool. This morning I made steam train noises as I demonstrated sawing technique to first year (11yo) pupils using a tenon saw for the first time; trying to get them to keep wrist, elbow and shoulder in a vertical plane just moving back and forth like the connecting rods on a steam trains wheels...
It kinda worked.
(Sounds so simple to adults but most struggle with motor skills at that age, boys particularly.)

My 3yo can use a tennon saw and hand and baterybattery drill to drill holes in wood. amazing what they can do if you let them try early enough.
Need to watch him though.
If he wants to open something he will hunt down scissors or a knife to get inside boxes and packets.
Yes. Its a shame.Of course he can use a tenon saw - he's your son and you've shown him! But, yes, whilst I'm not a parent I don't disagree that society has created this snowflake generation - precisely whose fault is open to debate.
Children's physiology is changing as they are far more adept at using game controllers, phones and tablets rather than crayons, pencils and pens.
Lol. Seen a few peeps on there phones walk into lampposts mind. It's actually been proved that thumbs are evolving from constant use of phones & tablets in the younger generation.
I once conducted a very simple experiment in a busy shopping precinct. I fixed my eye on a point in the distance and started walking straight to it. The place was full of folk [of all ages] on their phones and I had determined that I wasn't going to deviate from my line, to see how many collisions occurred and "Sorrys" I had to say.
Not one!! There seems to be a built-in radar these folk have, as at the last moment they would veer away without even looking up, the space closing up behind me. I felt like Moses parting the Red Sea
I watched a salesman walk into the pit in the garage one day, one hand in the pocket, phone in the other hand and just disappeared our sides with sore with concern for his well beingLol. Seen a few peeps on there phones walk into lampposts mind.
