I wish to echo the right honourable members comment.

We're the bottom row of 3 holes in the fin plate one of the gems ?
Steel looks clean , was it bought in shotblast ?
Can I ask why you don't buy it in shotblast and primed ?
Yeah, weld runs into the bolt holes.
Yes, everything shotblasted, cleaner job to fabricate and weld, and needs no prep before painting.
If it's primer painted it causes havoc with the welds. It's supposed to be weldable, but quite often gives porosity so we don't bother. It needs to be painted again anyway, plus the top coat takes longer to dry if it's already been primer painted by the stockholder.
the only zx-10 steel mudguard in the world (probably!)
everyone should make a few things by hand sawing and filing instead of just getting a machine to do stuff . not much skill in it
hi, i haven't weighed them but i'd say it's only a kilo or two in itA beautiful job Ian. I had to replace the front guard twice on mine, clearly a weak point that should have been addressed by the factory. How does it compare with the original in terms of weight?
£650 is a serious lump of plate...I had the reps down from Binzel, demoing their new Extrafire Thermacut 65 and 105 plasma cutters.
During the demo one of my customers gives me a ring and asks me if I have anything on the shelf that will cut a decent hole in 20mm thick stainless. Well, it turns out they picked a good day (all my big plasmas were out on rental and it just happened to be a good day ask for some decent cutting capacity.
Not that chomping a hole in some stainless is in any way difficult, but when the guy who gave you the job leans over at the point of pulling trigger and says, don't mess this up, that bit of plate is £650, it can make the botty twitch a tad.
So that's what I made today, some holes in plate I'd not like to foot the bill for.

Apologies for the ugly mugshot, Binzel's idea, not mine. Next time I'll flip the hood down, I promise.
