made another bicycle rack towbar mount, would like to fit my bike rack on my other car but don't want to keep swapping this mount over, plate is 12mm with 4mm wall box, welds not as nice is i wished

I had a bit of trouble getting the corners to meet up as there was a 1.5 mm difference due to myself not taking in to consideration of material thickness...if you zoom in to the picture of one of the corners you can see a slightly rough finish...it anoying. ...

It's just that I know it's not right...it will eat away at me....but I will try clean it up a bit more with some emery cloth .

i used to have a cycle carrier like that pondy
unfortunately my sciroccos current tow bar is the swan neck type so couldnt use the old cycle carrrier.
i bought a thule cycle carrier that locks onto the tow ball instead which seems to work.

Mot welding on a Mercedes outrigger. Mot tester would have passed the car but something had been thrown up off the road and ripped a hole in it. Turned out to be a water leak from a perished grommet had rotted the outrigger away and the tear was only the remains of the rubberised under seal with a bit of rust attached!

Air filter nut, one of two for different V8 cars. Made from S110B offcut that's been laying about some years. Lathe & rotary table on the mill used for machining, killed a bandsaw blade cutting the blanks and ended up cutting with the grinder which was quicker and easier.
