Started another exhaust tonight.

Finished the owain weather vane today,just 2 more coats of galvafroid to go,then will install him next Thursday,the hook at the apex will hang over the gap above the top stone,and the curved brace will be resined in 250 or so below,so the bolts are mainly providing location rather than load.
Will get more photos after installation.

I had a couple of hours free this afternoon to get a bit further with the 1 ton bagging bucket. The heat from the current bun on the other hand made it a tad warm in the leather coat. The plate is 6mm

Today, I have mostly been watching paint dry.

Got the various bits of the bench press u/coated, next up will be to wait for a suitable day as I'm planning a go at spraying the blue top coat - that'll be interesting [major understatement here] as I've never tried using a gun/compressor before, but as we all know 'every day's a school day'..... Wish me luck.

Before you all start laughing I'd like to point out this is very, very much a prototype.

Better than the wee IKEA stool it was previously perched upon. Castor wheels under base, height and angle about right - and the storage boxes fit perfectly underneath. Fine for the wee Albee Argon bottle but a bigger one... I think not!

Give it a blast (abrasive blast) coat it with some metal prima, then top coat it will be good to go, no one will tell the difference

Nice job @Tangledfeet and no expense spared, I see you used PAR, but I'm disappointed you didn't mortise and tenon the joints. Maybe that's for the next version.

I like making pizza from scratch but transfering them to the stone in the oven can be problematic cue a quick knock up of a pizza peel from some offcuts. 2mm mild sheet and 25x4mm bright tube, it’s quite weighty.

Nothing wrong with wood

This was yesterday's 2hr build after starting pretty much from scratch; the plywood and Kreg pocket hole screw carbuncle from Sunday became way too complex. Whether I make another using wood or fabricate using mild steel or even aluminium I'll keep the plywood tray for the welder itself; means I can easily modify for a different machine should that ever happen! Can also see why so many welding trolleys/carts are wider (bottle to the side rather than behind) than having the bottle behind and thus longer.

Following my earlier post about painting the bench press, family 'stuff' means I'm likely to be away from base for a few days soon. I decided that, rather than wait for the weather to cooperate so that I could spray outside [didn't want the other machines in the shed covered in overspray/dust ], just to bash on and brush paint the bits.

Whilst not as good as a gun might have done [even in my hands ] they've come up reasonable, but the bit I'm most pleased with is the colour match with the paint I bought off eBay - looks spot on to my untrained eye.
I'll hopefully get a bit more done tomorrow.

A small spade.
It was made from 3 different broken parts. silver solder together. Then painted.

So will it still get through an MOT with the DPF delete pipe? I had mine "deleted" via a drill through and remap as was told it is an MOT requirement to have a DPF fitted? Interested if there is an alternative.

Not 100% sure about the UK but in Ireland this is a fail on our test. DPF/cat have to be in place and not altered.
