Made a little stand for the dog bowl to sit it. Just to make it easier for the boy as he's 14 now View media item 10418View media item 10420View media item 10419
Disassembly of the Electrolux Assistent continued today and I polished the support for the arm. I found that the top cover was some unknown cast metal and painted, not plastic. I am planning to respray it with white 2-component paint. I don't know if you got it in the UK but a finnish company makes 2C spray paint cans that you don't need to puncture a separate hardener for and the spray-can can be used, left and used again like normal 1C paint.

I wonder why the machine isn't grounded, this type of three legged capacitor from what I understand is meant to connect to earth. I wonder if I can replace the cable and plug with a grounded one and earth the metal chassis without affecting the working on the capacitor.
Replacement capacitor has been ordered.
That’s what we always called it3 in a row.... that's what hes calling it.
Is there something to lock it in place?

Would this not be worth putting in it's own thread?
Could be very useful for someone and it seems a pity to bury the information in such a huge thread.
