Think machinists call them fixture clamps.
Knew they had a ‘proper’ name.

@mrsbruce what is the vice you have?
I’ve got a hobby mat mill and looks to be similar in size. I need a better vice
Also, look at these. (If you haven’t already) Should allow you to hold and clamp most things to the bed. Just need the correct size studding. Made / supplied by warco so they should be able to advise

Thanks.
They are for sale, I've been making them for some years, I've posted them on here before a few times but didn't have a picture of so many of them together till today.
Wish mine weighed 5kgThat’s the things I’m waiting for. The vice is an 80mm from Warco, and weighs a scary 5+kilos.
You make a bit of a seal on the pan with your ar5e and the smell gets extracted "at source". Really makes things more pleasant for you and the following user!
Completed last weekend an odour extraction system on my wall hung wc. (Not my idea, copied from one done by Jeremy Harris, he of Scrapheap Challenge fame).
Some modern versions of my Geberit wall hung frame have a branch in the flush pipe for odour take off. Well the more expensive ones do. I was going to cut into my flush pipe but wasn't sure what material it was and whether it would solvent weld.
I drilled the top of the cistern and fitted a 32mm solvent weld. The flush pipe out the bottom of these cisterns is open all the way to the pan until you flush and comes up above the water level in the cistern.
I ran 32mm solvent weld up in the stud wall into the loft:
Fitted an extractor fan since the above picture. I then got a bit of extension pipe and solvent welded 32mm into it.

Quiet day, yesterday.
Sold a few items (50) to a second hand tool shop.
Mrs TYA was happy to see pictures of the queen on bits of paper, even more when I did not bring anything home.
So I just pottered, drank lots off coffee.
Record 2" pipe cutter.

It was seized when I got it, turns out the screw that holds the screw thread into the moving jaw was tighten up to much.

The original cutting disc were damaged. But I was given a "New Old Stock" when I sold some tools.

Painted and lacquered and drying in the sun.
No power tools were used to clean this. Just a soak in Citric acid, then wire wool to clean up.
Rain King Lawn sprinkler.
AKA Lump of Jabberwocky.

I tested it, it did nowt. Just sat in the grass looking ugly.

The seals and retaining ring had failed. Should be a simple fix.
This is the Alloy base screw what holds the innards in place.
It was this bad when I got it.
Heating the case and chilling the screw I managed to remove it.

The seals are O rings and the clip that holds it all in place is a now a E clip.
Painted in those colours, for the simple reason, it was what I had to hand.
This was a simple clean with "Meths" and wire wool.

A few Mamods.

The base are both Cedar wood. Then using biscuits joints made into a decent base.
I was limited to the drive bands I had. But a few more are on order.
What's a mamod engine worth on its own?
I’ve seen many many extraction systems in the last 25 years but never ever anything like this
There must a very serious issue with your @rse to need an engineered solution like this.
Fantastic bit of engineering, may have to use these as an example of innovate solutions
Great idea does the fan have a boost function, and if so have you tested it? What was the "outcome"
plans afoot to incorporate a small inline fan salvaged from a power supply into the 32mm pipe up in the loft. For extra boost (poost?). Might trigger with an occupancy switch.
