One especially for the Yorkshiremen (and wannabee Yorkshiremen) ...

After a bit of a workshop clear up I noticed I had a lot of used 5" cutting discs that are too small to use on the 5" grinder - I recalled someone on the forum (apologies for know remembering who) mentioning that they had made / had seen made an adapter to fit them on an air cut off tool and thereby get a bit more use from them.

An hour or so on the lathe (probably 5 mins for you real machinists) resulted in something that works far better than I ever expected it too:

I need to make this now I have possibly 100 used discs!

Keep meaning to make one of those myself. Reckon my wee Aldi cut off tool would only handle 1mm slitting discs though...

Made up a couple of flitch extension panels for the moggy as one was bent up and the other rotten, I was going to order some but the swager was looking at me all sad and lonely so i decided to stop being so lazy.

The star had me wondering

Got the tiller arm finished today.
Cut the keyway and faced off the surface.

Threaded a bolt into the centre holes with thread lock then chopped the hex off so they can be used as locating pegs.

The boatyard only had 100mm socket caps which were too long so I made up some stainless spacers.

Did a few other bits and pieces for the job such as turning the end of the new tube but no pics.
