The car bits are made with just clamping the metal sheet down along a fold line.I use a piece of thick steel with clamps and just fold..

Made a couple of gauge panels for my 1959 landy, 6 mm ally cut with holesaw and edges with router, etch prime and satin black, still need tee piece for oil pressure, voltmeter/usb on ignition switched supply for charging smart phone app for speedo,

I have some speedwell gauges as well , tacho , water temp and oil presure, fitted Smiths and redex co they seemed more suited. The redex is useful for economic driving , well if 19mpg is economic, also useful for diagnosis and timing setting,

The Redex gauges are really well made, heavy duty body and bezel, thick glass cover and very nice chrome plating, love them.

I used to have one that my Dad gave to me, I can remember it in his car as well, not seen it for years tho, think it was another casualty of my divorce

@spencer 427 , My battery cover was missing on my FL220 when I got it, I think most of them are looking a bit secondhand laying about in hardshoulders

I made mine out of 2mm steel and nailed some chequer plate to the top, pretty sturdy when clambering around on it

Yesterday I made a tow bar to fit a one wheel trailer on an old Renault.

Haven't seen the trailer yet but I'll post a pic when I do. ( Hopefully it will be "rollin' along" )

Used to see quite a few of those one wheel trailer years ago, Nice and stable, Some people used to hinge the whole thing up at 90* to make the combined vehicle shorter for a cheaper ferry crossing to/from France etc.

Today I am going to be making a volvo lorry emblem for my battery tray. Made a template. Now to get cutting out of 3mm plate.

I did something similar once, But didn't cut it out, used my CP air engraver to give a different texture to the letters, Look very well.

I did a similar thing , had logo printed onto self adhesive vinyl , stuck it on to mirror polish stainless , sanded rest of stainless with detail sander and fine abrasive , peeled off vinyl to leave logo in mirror polish on satin background, looked pretty good.

Got the handrail hinges and plunger finished/welded/fitted to the boat today. Also the sockets for the crab spikes were welded into the table, you can see them in the second pic.

Also welded a section of tube to the rail so that the plunger locates into it when the rail is in the open position.

Finally a pic of the Cat emerging from the shed, it had to come out to get the mast and davit fitted as there is only 100mm clearance either side and about 300mm to the top.

Yay for Hoods choice of vehicle!

One of those jobs when the boss isn't in, this was made for home.
3 16g m/s trays for the inside of a cupboard door to add more storage/ mainly for aerosols. Nothing fancy just haven't made anything for myself in a while.
