LOL fish boxes have quite a few holes in the bottom, need to or you would be filling with water instead of fish

The boxes used in my 'yoof' were those [approx] 10" deep ones, not had 'hands on' experience of the ones in your pic. Don't lobsters have to be kept alive in transit?

Fish boxes used to be wooden then they moved to plastic of similar dimensions then they moved to this kind as they can be stacked inside each other thus saving space when empty. Turn them around and they will sit on top of each other and be kind of semi interlocked.

The boxes are just used for the lobsters whilst on the boat, they can last a long time out of water as long as they don't dry out so a deck wash or even a wet Hessian sack over them is fine. They are usually put into keeps at the end of the day and submerged until the buyers vivier truck comes to collect.

But that doesn't improve your 'construction' skills....... We had to source our own wheels etc to build ours , not to mention persuading your Dad to let you use some of his tools.

ah we only used the wheels off of them after we pushed each other down a few hill on the way home! the rest was chucked in the river!

And you'd learn valuable lessons about the strength of cheap spoked pram wheels under hard cornering.
Some weren't very strong at all - which made it quite sore.

Yes, in my youth my bike had a home made trailer that was used when we went ferreting, pram wheels and an old fish box and on the good days the wheels were nearly buckling on the way to the butchers to sell the rabbits

This is a bit off topic but she was the best Ferret I ever had so I will post a pic.

And here is her first litter.

They were all good workers but none matched her.

We used pram wheels on our carts, shopping trolleys hadn't been invented then.

Made some bits for my mum to use in her garden from some old horseshoes. A hanging basket stand, a shelf for her bonsai trees and a cross to go at the bottom of the garden where our old pets are buried.
They were all different sizes, some were zinc coated and all still had horse muck on them, even though i spent ages cleaning them. Next time i'll try the stick welder as Tigging wasnt fun.

Yes I always stick weld my horse shoe stuff they seem to stick better

update on the wind turbine ,made box post,c/w spigot to locate the mast onto,650 into the ground & offset to meet the shed footing[i want the mast to fasten against the corner of the shed]then a 6m mast to sit on the spigot,with a cable entry sleeve at the base,problem now -my partner dropped my i-pad so i can't upload photos until its repaired/replaced-can they be repaired?

hope you got deep pockets but they do use orignal screens so would be as new

you can get copy screeens but do work but not the the same as original
