The KTM Duke bars give me a pain in the wrists after any length of time, so decided to try making something resembling the old 'Ace' bars, but without any messy bending. KTM bars are a bit odd in that they're not 7/8" (22mm) throughout their length, the bit where the bars clamp to the fork risers are 1 1/8". This is my first stab (awaiting welding, obvs.)

Made a 1/2" BSW nut for the mill. Nothing exciting!

Modified the new shed/workshop with a dedicated cnc plasma table area. New PVC heavy duty strips are coming this week to add protection for the front. Can’t be too careful in a wooden workshop/shed

Nice neat job..and what a lovely old gaff! The brickwork (not actual bricks but I don't know the word) was obviously laid very skillfully, it reminds me of dry stone walling. At first sight it looks like it needs repointing, but maybe it just works as it is. If mortar is used I presume it's lime mortar.

It could do with repointing but it’s not in a bad way, and yes, all lime mortar. It has beautiful views across the valley it sits in - Rue Glanot in Mont st Jean if you want to look on google maps

Finished today,replacement grille for my tractor,old plastic one had got brittle,plus I’d bashed it loading,then a branch went thru it and the rad,so this is all steel.

Also this popped in from next door. The A frame had decided last year that it didn't like being an A frame and wanted to be an S frame after some rather big bangs against the floor. I'd offered to see if I could straighten it out on my press. First time it's come close to using its full capacity (size wise), stupidly didn't take a before or an after but only a mid way through.

Tractor was dropped off and mower was lifted up, so thought I'd fire it up and get the mower off. Do you think I could start it? Turn key, nothing. Foot on clutch, nothing. Foot on brake, nothing. Foot on clutch and brake, nothing. All three gear levers into neutral, nothing. Realised float would probably still work so dropped the mower down and got it detached. Little M18 impact came out to unbolt the frame, three bolts came out with a little fight. Fourth wouldn't, spanner on the back was a bit of a loose fit so was losing most of the impact. Out came Mr Angry.

Anyway that right hand bit of the frame (upside down the two outer bits bolt to mower and accept lower links, the bit blow the D ring takes the top link) is meant to be straight... I've already partially straightened the other one.

Didn't end up the straightest or neatest but a damn sight better than what was there before. At least it can now lift the mower up, previously chains were attempting to hold it up in transit (not very well).

Still we'll see how it goes, cheaper than replacing it.

Following on ,here’s a part fabrication view,the headlight rims were only 20x3 flat,so I was able to roll them on my basic rollers relying on spring to extract them,rather than lift 6’ of 80mm solid round,ended up with minute distortion that was easy to press flat,thanks to all the clamps and screws.

A bit of a mess

found out rather quickly you cant cut tempered glass with a diamond blade

Was making a window for sandblast cabient thought tough tempered glass was way to go as it was harder but no so easy to manipulate as can be seen.

Made it out of normal glass that i scored and snapped in the end.

TBH it's not something I would like to repeat
But I think that this would encourage me to do blood exams
I've drilled pz2 size hole in my finger i didn't felt pain until 2 hours later , I've ejected various times some kidneys stone , someone in 308 or 7.62 ISH caliber diameter shooting them through my ureter
A small needle wouldn't be so bad

Today I turned three more or less scrap Dexion shelves into one larger shelf for my friend's garage racking.

They were in a pretty beaten about state and very rusty mostly where I wanted to weld. A hour or two beating them about and cutting to size and I eventually got to weld them together. Not the prettiest of jobs, but I haven't picked up a MIG welding torch for four years and it's pretty thin sheet as well. Add to that trying to position everything on a 30" round plastic garden table I surprised just how straight the edges nearly are


It'll do the job and gets some scrap out of my garden

Bit of fun.
I finished the last 2 "pretend" butches blocks for my friend. Plus had a few off cuts left over.

So I made a few small mug coasters.
One was thin and fun.
The other I built in a OCD trap.
