Knocked up a quick storage rack type box for 50mm abrasive discs.
Not so much made more than restore, this is a table top for the fly press, the dark patch is where it's been bolted to for the last 6/7 years, was initially stained in red which I wasnt keen on, so sanded right back and its had about 4 coats of danish oil so far, I'm trying to get a shiney effect but iv no idea if I will achieve this, wood is mahogany any tips?
Difficult to achieve a mirror type glaze with danish oil but you can get a fairly high shine. Keep applying till the wood won't soak up anymore oil. Picky ............................. it's not even dry ..he's about to clean it .. he told me so a few seconds before he took the photo .dirty float you should know better
