Bit of of an experiment on this one. Made up a panel of reclaimed timber , and used a plasma cut template to burn this design onto the timber.
Bit of wax, and jobs a gooden. Finished it off about 5, someone said they want it by 6. Its okay, but not my favorite piece of work by any means.

I must add, i cant take credit for the actual tree design.

Coming together, but I need a much stronger spring:

Looks a nice job Dennis but don't you think it's rather well built? My pedal is moved around under the bench and positioned with my foot. It weighs around 1.5 kg and slides across the floor with ease. That looks like it could break a toe or two if it's kicked. It's certainly not gonna suffer any damage I can forsee. Nice job but I would of made it from thinner steel or even better aluminium.

I made it with what I had on hand, I don't think it's more than 2-3kgs total.

ATM I am getting nowhere on the electronics because the transparent paper I ordered is taking forever

Made a swan-necked hand scraper for getting into difficult places and keeping the proper blade angle. Bent a piece of flat bar in the vice, milled a flat on it parallel to the handle, silver soldered a piece of carbide using my tig welder to heat it up. Works great!

Nice little tool Pete. That's one of those things where it's far less of a skill to make it than it is to use it properly.

i wanted to raise the ride height of my car 20mm so extend the top spring caps. i already have stiffer lowering springs but they're -40mm drop which is too much. 20mm is about right but theres no spring in the world that height

Just shy of 9.5 litres, it's a standard 500ci bored 60 thou and has an offset ground crank, it's for a tractor puller
