Torque, hugely underestimated by some, hence my preferance of diesels..van sized ones though nothing exotic.
A mess at a mates this morning when he couldn't get his furniture upstairs in his house move due to the layout of the stairs, took the teleporter and put it through a bedroom window and knocked all the glass out, then put the forks under the sill and lifted, snapped the sill clean in two and pulled the side bars inwards, he ripped the rest out while his missis went mad.
Put the carpet socks onto the forks and everything going upstairs went on the forks and in through the now removed window, wardrobes, beds, drawers, the lot went up in less than an hour and no lifting.
Double glazing firm coming next week to replace all the windows so no biggy.
This afternoon been making columns for his new workshop same mate has on his back garden.

Picking up some stainless wire mesh tomorrow.
Basically 304 pipe capped and drilled one end. Sintered air muffler. 4 pieces of sctochbrite and then fine mesh over the end held in by a circlip. Should diffuse the argon nicely.
C&C welcome. Sure some of you will have some good ideas.

Yeah, that'll get the job done. Stainless or copper wool are the other usual suspects for a cheap porous packing material along with stainless scouring sponges. Cleaning suppliers are a good source for larger/thicker chunks of 'scotchbrite' without 3M tax for example google images or 'doodlebug pad' for rectangular pieces. Not tried the cup/bowl full of bearings trick yet, i did cobble together a purge tray for small pieces a while back but usually when i need something like this it's a fiddly shape/area on something larger and i end up going nuts with cooking foil and tape to tent off a small area or make localised dams

Today I made a mistake.
I was happy with the tool chest I'm building (drawers all fit, looked ok), so I took it apart to glue it together properly and give it a coat of paint. I did do a bit of test fitting as I went along, but not enough.
Somewhere along the way things went askew. I'm guessing the drawers and carcass didn't go back together in the same way they were when dry fit. The couple of coats of paint didn't help either. Everything is such a tight fit now, in fact the bottom drawer is going to need a little planing to get it to go in at all.
The gloss paint I put on the front of the drawers just highlights all the imperfections in the wood and workmanship. What an eyesore! I'll probably end up putting shame boards on the front to cover up the mess.
