Looks really good, I've made a few but never polished them up like that, looks much more striking. Next time I'm home I might try to knock a batch out and see what I can get for them on Etsy.

I done that before and put them up for £70. No one was interested at that price which meant earning about £10 an hour I thought why bother.

That's why I've never done it before but I reckon making ten at a time I could do them a bit quicker. Would probably save a bit of time starting with annealed sheet rather than 22mm water pipe too.



Just had a thought, there's probably money doing metal versions of trendy houseplants, people sell cuttings, literally single leaves, for upwards of fifty quid because they're slightly more variegated than the plant usually is!

Bit of a modification to the router table I had of @mrsbruce

Needed to clamp it down to stop it moving so it's now bolted to a piece of ply and the original rubber feet are now underneath the ply if it ever gets used on the floor again



The clamp has started working lose when in use so the router blade drops down when taking a cut, machinist jack is my temporary work around

That looks like a Bosch router? Never had bother with 'slippage' on my identical set-up - I just make sure the lock-off cam is really tight, but maybe yours has had more use over the years than mine.

I've got one of those little cheapo lifting tables from the bay that I use to support my router. Not only stops it slipping but makes adjustment a doddle.

Cheers for that! I need that in my life I have a job now and again removing a pump from the bottom of a machine for inspection / maintenance. Its a right pig getting it down on your own and there's no real room. At over £7k I really dont want to drop it..... Thank you

Made a "grippy/turny" thingy for my thermal imager.
I lost the original the other night and trying to focus the thing was a nightmare.
Just a bit of 6082 with a 4mm clamping bolt.
Blasted it with some aluminium oxide and chucked a bit of paint on.
It's a much larger diameter which makes it easier to find/turn but needs a new lens cap.

Yesterday ive been working on a jobsite , 50km travel , went there , started doing but couldn't do anything .
I needed to switch the power off but they had to work so I couldn't and didn't work
Spent an entire morning there ,no money
-10 euros for gasoline .
-5 hours of my life nobody can give me back .
I'm tired of this jobsite , I've to finish it , but customer is avoiding me to work .
I can't work in those conditions.

Today went to buy firewood , loaded the car and once home discovered that seller put only big logs in the trunk.
Took the chainsaw ,the axe, a wedge and a sledgehammer.
Done myself .
Chainsaw failed ,still have to understand what happened.
Axe edge ruined

Replaced a mirror on my sister's Toyota again

Tomorrow another jobsite in the morning .
And plasma demolition of a concrete mixer in the evening .

I'll have to borrow the plasma cutter from a friend tomorrow afternoon

With all you guys treating their wives I got an attack of the guilty feelings. I knew no good would come of this site. So I made one of these for her . Confused her on 2 fronts,why and what, and couldn't guess what it was for .. Can anyone out there make a guess? Hint its for the kitchen . What else does one give the missus.
