I made the seatbelt receiver on my VW T5 Kombi rear seat work again.
Bl**dy messy kids with sweet wrappers and all sorts stuffed down inside .
Had to fully removed it from the seat , push the red button down and fish around with a bent safety pin .
2 bl**dy hours later, I managed to hook a blue bag from salt n shake crisps out that was properly jammed in there ..... success.
The wife reckons I should have just bought a new one.....pffft...

Seems like you have enough trouble with the kids you have, without buying another one..

While trying to get the workshop tidy i got fed up, having to keep moving short lengths of bar and bits about so made a stock holder.
I based it around a euro pallet so it can be moved with the pallet truck. I had some old angle iron frames i had previously cut up. Built a set of shelves in the middle to take bar ends and off cuts.
Then a frame around the outside clad with 12mm mdf to hold longer bits upright.

Just need to add a few chains and hooks, will maybe get a coat of paint one day.

Made myself nervous today , I needed to drill/open up some 32mm holes on a chipper and only had that size in a 3mt which meant using that gurt gut buster

Twas a wild ride but I did it

Nice one 8ob, I'm glad you enjoyed the ride. I was once drilling holes in the thick base of a stainless vessel using a massive windy drill. Every now and again it would bite and I would do a few 360*s before I could twist the throttle off, They certainly don't take any prisoners, I'm out of danger myself now, I'v given my drill to my son. So it's gone on a permanent holiday to Uxbridge,

I have some machines to move tomorrow and cant fin any hooks off the shelf that will fit thorough the lifting holes in a flat panel so.

Made a quick jig to bend some 16mm black round bar.

Bent each end then cut in half.

22mm holes to take shackles for the slings.
Biggest machine weighs in at 800Kg so should be ok with the load spread across 4 points.

Not made today but just finished replacing the pipework and coolant on the parts I made a while back for cooling my PC.

This is the state of the pipes, hardened and stained from the coolant.

Here you can see a stainless mount plate for a filter on the right and a reservoir and pump housing on the left. These sit in the top of the case.

Here is a pic of the South Bridge cooler I made (lower right) with the graphics card cooler above, that is made by EK.

This pic shows the EK CPU block and below it the North Bridge block that I made, you can also see at the top the pump and the filter mentioned earlier.

Finally a view of the whole setup showing the stainless reservoir and pump base I made.

Temps before the clean and pipework replacement were creeping up towards 30 degrees at idle and getting upwards of 40 on heavy loads. Now with the clean out and pipework replaced the temp is sitting at 12 degrees idle and about 19 when loaded

Tidy install. And nice low temps. Never played with water cooling. Last build was a i7 930 running 4.3ghz oc on air

Full load stress test saw 62degrees but normal heavy use around 40.

Used to be heavily into OCing in my younger days, had a VapoChill setup that cooled the CPU to minus 20-30 degrees
Had some good overclocks with that setup

Now however the cooling is for peace and quiet, have 6 120mm fans running on 5v and the two water cooling pumps hooked to the boards fan control so up to about 40 deg they are sitting just idling away and the whole thing is deadly silent

Aye fans get noisy. And there were a lot in that case. Never bothered me with a headset on but watching films was an issue. Fan controller and stepping helped.
Always fancied a mobo immersed in non conductive liquid

Ha ha can sell you an old Oxford Oil Cooled welder, you can pull the guts out and plunk your PC in it

Just found some of my old website, must have been a few years back as memory was 2x 256Meg
CPU was OC'd from 1800MHz to 2729mhZ, those were the days

Thanks, but no I haven't taught them, they don't care about stuff like that at all. I think they are unteachable. Wild, active and physical, no patience for anything too "slow".
