Just 100HP, I think it will be underpowered but it is not my decision.

Few pics, outdrives that were removed yesterday.

The Port engine all disconnected except exhaust. As you can see not much room down the side especially when you consider the starter, alternator and most of the wiring is on the side that the exhaust is at.

Today got the exhaust off the port engine then on to the Starboard engine which is worse as hydraulics are this side. Pic was after I removed the exhaust and about to start stripping wiring, hydraulics etc.

Pic with everything disconnected ready for the crane tomorrow to get them lifted out.
Once that is done then I can get a start on dismantling the outdrive housing etc that is fixed to the hull.

The bearings eventually arrived for the roller mentioned in a previous post and sure enough they were 50mm so I had to skim 0.8mm off the two stubshafts.

Then got the rudder kicker (thats the name I couldn't remember in the previous post) tacked up today ready for the owner to do a test fit tomorrow. If all is well then it will be fully welded and shaped/tidied up.

Chemically etched numberplate thingamabob in 1.5mm ali sheet. Looks better in the flesh than the photo suggests. First order from the guy who prints the 'masks' for the etching process. Might become a more common type of job is his advertising takes off. He does a lot of T-shirt and Mug printing so this joint venture might expand a bit. Next job is to attempt to etch chassis plates for vintage cars in the correct 3D profiles.

200yds? I couldn't even see the target at 200yds. I have to take a Parkinsons medication for horrible random muscle shakes and discovered that concentrating on targets help build up muscle control.

Got the engines out today.

Stern drive housings removed.

A few big holes that the boatbuilders will need to fill.

Took dimensions of the hull, drew up a model and then started on designing the pods.

Pod seems to be right assuming I have downloaded the correct 3D model from Yamaha. Will hopefully get some bits plasma cut tomorrow and see how it is looking, one of the engines should also be with me tomorrow so that I can double check dimensions.

Yes, two 100HP outboards, one on each hull.
The hole in the top of the pod is for a hatch as you need to get inside to get access to the fixing bolts for both the engine to pod and pod to hull.

To give a better idea of what I have drawn, it is just the lower section of one of the hulls. the line arrowed in the model corresponds to the arrow in the photo.

Yes, they should be able to take the next model size up which is I think 150 upwards to maybe 250ish. I suggested 150's but the killer with this is it is registered as over 10m and the cost of an additional licence would probably be upwards of £20K
