When I built my regulator clock, the weight was a lead filled brass tube, it weighs 21 pounds. The usual trick is line the inside of the brass tube with two sheets of A4 paper, then pour the lead. The paper only chars a bit, and the lead is an easy fit in the brass tube.First head cast.
The shrinkage meant that the lead did not stick the copper.
