Looks good, have you used that mix before? How does it last?These brackets got a mix of Chlorobenzotrifluoride, Ethylbenzene, Manganese ferrite ,Acetone and some other stuff.

Tank more or less welded up, just the lid to weld on but I need to find out what holes need to be in it and where for stuff like filler, breather and sender.
Small sump which will just have a plug in it for draining and heavy plate ready for boring and tapping for fuel valve once I know what size. It is currently behind the tank that is on the boat and only a child can crawl into that space, very clever placement by the boatbuilder as it can't even be shut off when changing filters so they need to be quick
Both plate and sump also welded inside.
Also made a stencil for a different boat for spray painting the number on his flags.

Today, I made some water run downhill.
A couple of years ago I made a weed wiper to try and control the rushes on what we euphemistically call a lawn.
It worked quite well and the rushes are nowhere near as plentiful after just a couple of applications with the wiper.
However during the whole weed wiper discussion I got sage advice from @Munkul amongst others, who told me to just sort the waterlogging problem and that would sort the rushes, it would also help with getting on the "grass" to cut it, so two years later I'm acting on his advice.
My site is on a slope and the bottom corner is the lowest and wettest area.
Years ago I planted it out with trees that like wet conditions and let it do its own thing.
Turned into quite the jungle so I had to cut a few trees to get access.
With that done I used a mini digger to dig a trench, lined it with Terram and drainage stone, then installed drainage pipe, more stone and fully wrapped it with the Terram.
I still need to build some sort of head wall, make a mole and sort a way of dragging it through the ground.
But that’s for another day.
For now that’s 50m done, just need to order another load of stone and sort the next 50m at the front.

I built my house in a bog and as a result while I can sort of grow grass, I can grow marvellous rushes. I'm not into gardening, I just try to keep the worst of the weeds at bay and have some hedges and trees which are all low maintenance. I put some drainage in 25 odd years ago and I expect it...

Waiting for some materials arriving so had a spare 30 mins and decided to clean the glass on the CNC door.
It is always a PITA as you have to reach in with a 10mm spanner or ratchet to undo the four nuts. I have always been meaning to make something up and I spied a bit of brass so 15/20 mins on the lathe and I had these.
They fit on the bits that hold the glass.

Just a thought - is this a work machine, or a private one?
If work, you've possibly violated the rules over machine guarding - guarding needing tools to remove comes under different rules to those you don't. Not a problem of course, until it is when there's an incident requiring investigation.

Great job, I need to do similar on my blast cabinet, the nuts and bolts are loose M4s and a mile long. Also my eyesight isn't up to it anymore.
Just need a bit of brass and to try my hand at knurling

Knurling is simple, put the tool in the toolpost, wind it in until you have the depth you want and wind along to the width you want.

They look really nice. I'm always impressed by this sort of fabrication. Out of curiosity, is that the normal way the diagonal braces go? Intuitively I would expect them to be angled with the top end at the free side and the bottom end at the post side, but I know nothing about the subject really so I suspect I'm wrong!
