I drew them up myself, used an image from Google to trace santa and the reindeer.

Yeah they are. The last two I've had they snapped at the weld joint before they went dull, and there's nothing wrong with the saw or guides. They do work fine for a decent amount of cutting though.

This past summer has seen us cut a lot more steel than ever before, so going from 1 blade a year to 3 or 4 seems to make a difference on the pocket

So last week I put on the Hakansson blade, it didn't seat properly, ran off the wheels, and wouldn't ride right whatever I did, and started to crack at the weld before I'd even cut anything with it!
The Harrison Saws blade came the next day, I wapped it straight on, no dramas, cuts straight and quiet.

Justbandsawblades (NLS Tools) were very helpful when I rang up about it, they said the blade joint should have been square but they did have a fault with the blade welder so they are sending another one out FOC.

@Brad93 I think I'll be buying from Harrison Saws from now on, the area rep was really helpful and their prices are cheaper than anyone else's, and if it lasts a good amount then happy days!

Like I say, we've always had good results from their blades and our imet does like a new blade. The cost is worth changing the blade out but we do tend to run ours into the ground. You'll be way below 5p a cut from a blade I would think.

Today I made the crash bars easier to remove.

Three of the fixing points each side are easy to access and undo but the front mounts behind the exhausts and although not too hard to remove is a bit of a pain to assemble.
So last night I removed the bars and today at the workshop I chopped through the tube, turned a bit of 316 and welded it into one part.

Repeated for the other side, sanded and painted.

Refitted to the bike this afternoon so now if I need to remove the crash bars the parts above stay attached and I can just remove three bolts and they then slide off leaving the hard to reach bolts and spacers in place.

No, I was going to bore and tap them but when I assembled it it is rock solid and impossible to move so no need

It's only taken me 2 years to come up with a storage rail for my jig clamps and stops. They've been in a bucket til now.

I have been making a mess, it started raining just after I started! Then I went and ordered a 7kg tub of sodium bisulphate, the substitute for anodising...
Rain stoped so I continued with the mess.
Lots of CO² and some copper trees. It seems there is a very similar process known as electroforming which I may have to try. They broke off when I removed it. Seems a much slower, lower current is needed for strength and thickness to build up.

It is much cleaner using a lead anode, but means an extra step of plating out any disolved lead.

71g of two wet, slightly acidic coffee filters and copper powder.

Whilst waiting for some Aluminium being delivered and after seeing @Fraserb plasma'd Santa I thought I would have a look for some DXF's
Came across a couple of Christmas themed ones so decided to give them a go, scaled them up a bit and here they are.

Took a vid of Santa being cut, well a wee bit, by the time I got the phone out it was nearly finished

Made a small part for work this evening. They have a 4" steel concrete pumping pipe to adapt to a 2.5" one so they do a funnel-shaped adapter piece. Only trouble is they sent a 3" to 2.5" one instead of 4" to 2.5". This leaves a flat face on the inside which is causing havoc with the pumping. This is a stop-gap measure until they take delivery of the correct part, it goes inside the 4" pipe and sits against the 3" one to turn the flat face into a bevelled one so the concrete flows better.

Parts for @Ubique . Using Usacut55 free cutting steel, a bit of an experiment to see how it cuts. Ive decided its basically like brass, spraying tiny hot chips at you unless you feed extremely slow with a deep cut. This would be ideal for anyone on a mini lathe.

Forgot to get a photo after and its now in the post. Threading was quick only a few minutes each.
