Ah Ah thats not exactly true. My wife is disabled and I am caring for her a large majority of the time , I can reply to social media etc though at times. same goes for periods when caring for my Grandsons . Sadly its not really spare time or time I can utilise in the workshop or garage etc

Today I made an axle stand.
I know they are cheap and not worth making but I've been gathering the bits for a while and why not.
It will be the first of a big production run of at least two and possibly even four.
The screw is off a scaffold jack leg and the angle is 40mm.
I had to sleeve and machine the tube because the jack screw wasn't a great fit, so more to it that you might think (or care)

Yeah mate. It was more to highlight it's hard to find productive or creative time sometimes. But the phone is a godsend to my sanity.

This one is about 7inches x 5inches
That looks very smart, and is probably better made than many off-the-shelf options.

Thanks - the die in the holder is a bit of an oddball in that it is a standard diameter but the drillings are not exactly equidistant, I made it roughly double-height so that I can drill & tap the other end for more conventional dies if needed.

Work in progress here,disabled access ramp plus stair flight at 90degrees.
My sheds not big enough,so this is the first section,in the distance,is the halfway landing,then it turns 20degrees for a further 8m,all to be galvanised.
