really like the finish you get with this matte PLA. Print edged at .3 layers and a lot of infill for strength.

When all the printings done I still need to use the old CNC to cut parts for the new CNC. bootstrapping indeed.

I'm very intrigued by this! You built I assume the CNC router table from scratch. From plans or your own design? Are those beams stock tube?

Attempted another block and shaft but it was a failure! Was aiming for an M8 thread to put some resistance on the shaft but it infilled for some reason. Then the Cura "tolerancing", the horizontal hole expansion, only works in one direction so the shaft won't even fit the block. Getting lad here to reprint, with a hex hole that I'll put a captive M8 nut in rather than threading the print.

Found a bit of A303 stainless in the BiL's stash but it's only 32mm dia and it must be 34mm!

This came from a defunct, old school machining firm, love the way they stamped the end!

Another go. Trying a 4mm square helical coil. Also got an extra fan blowing on the side that came out a bit ragged every other time.

Quick and simple holder for a cut down Lidl/Aldi calliper to use as a tailstock DRO its not as strong as if I spent 3hrs+ making it on the mill but it works fine for what I need , btw say stainless on the calliper body but i think it wont rust because its as soft as cheese

i can put the files on Thingyverse if anyones interested

Heres a nifty holder i printed for the set of 4C collets i just acquired its actually for R8 but printing at 99% they fit spot on , theres a holder too but im going to mount differently as im going to print another so I have metric and imperial

i can link to Thingyverse if anyone is interested , not my design but i modified

Ive welded right next to some PETG printed light surrounds. I think it caught a few of the red hot sparks but I cant see them after a wipe with soapy water.
Chips off a lathe probably will have cooled below the melting point of the plastic before it hits it.

so the mrs lost the washer bottle cap for the kia
15 mins on f360 and an hour atfer finding my tpu
this was the result
if anything a little tight, and the strap a little short, but it will do for now

A router jig in grey PLA. All to cut a hole for the IEC connector/switch. Not very well thought out tbh as no way of clamping it on. I had some half thought to use double sided tape...
