The most unbelievably miss managed work I've ever seen. It is unreal how many "managers" they have doing their best to stop the average man from just doing his job!

Found this in a skip on an HS2 site a while back:



Absolutely nothing wrong with it, the contents are unused , and there's no sign of a "Best before" sticker , just a few patches of grease on the outside. As I've been looking for something like this for a while to put my spill kit in and move it from the passenger footwell, took it home and took all of 15 minutes cleaning it up with some degreasing fluid.

It now lives in the "coffin" under the trailer, exactly where it needs to be .

And almost the last acquisition today was half a dozen of these lovelies:



3 of them are perfect for tidying up the long straps and ratchets in the gear locker on my trailer:



If the others will fit, might lower the shelf and tidy the rest up as well. But before that, am parked next to some brambles tonight, and there's more than enough gorgeously sweet blackberries on it to have with some greek yogurt for breakfast tomorrow. However, as the lane is popular with dog walkers, and doggers, allegedly , I'll only be picking berries that are growing above 3' off the floor .

FWIW, it was taken early last Tuesday morning where I'd spent the night parked in Battersea Dog's Home after delivering rail in there on Monday night. The rail line runs between the main reception building and the old power station, is accessed through the same entrance archway that the public use, and is an utter bitch to get through.I really ought to get one of these young "Look at me, I've been driving a lorry for 5 minutes and think I know it all!" drivers to take it in for me and show me how it's done

Found this lot in a skip this morning.
They were full, so I left the contents behind, bar one. The cork is stuck.



To remove the cork I wrapped a cloth soaked in hot water, waited and it was eased out.
I don't even think @barking mat would try it.



This was also in the skip.
It has a sharp edge, but is very light.

Today I had to look after a small 3 year old human. The trip the above bits was get Small human food.
The small humans Mum had a hospital appointment and I was asked to look after my little friend, always a happy few hours.
They are not in a good place with funds. but They get by. But the small human knows this.

So when Mrs Posty dropped a large box for me.
I remarked that I had got a present,
"Is it your birthday" I was asked.
"but presents only arrive at birthdays and Christmas"
My little friend was confused. But I said if Mummy says yes, you can help me open it.

Big smile.
Do you know what's in it?
No.
More confused looks.



The box.
It was very well inspected, to big to shake, but it did get a good finger poke.


I opened it, as it was well sealed and scissors are sharp.
"Mummy has a pair of scissors like them."

The bubble wrap was carefully placed in a pile to go home, why? I don't know.



Each item was wrapped well.
This meant a lot of carefully taking a part and laying out, even time to have a Kinder egg break.

Every item was carefully looked at, played with, Asked what it does. a thousands questions.

This is the contents placed on display, according to Small human wishes.

This made my friend happy. We spent a lot off time rolling the balls at each other. For some reasons they took her fancy. But she said she did like them, but.

Mummy came back we had a nice take away.

Little Human was Over the moon when I said she could take the balls home. I have a picture of her carefully holding the box and her cuddly toy being proudly carried to the car.

Thank you to the good person who past this on to me, your kind act has made some one very happy.

Mini review - It works, recommend it. Quite a bit bigger than the 13mm key chuck. No problem with small 2.5mm bits and lot quicker swapping. It only has 27mm insertion length (length of the jaws) but its good means the drill is hard against the back and wont push in and ruin the depth measurement.
