I just gave daughters boyfriend a full set of af and metric spanners on a tool roll kamasa I have that many sets I got sick of seeing them and a shame not to use its pretty good gearKasama socket set is so 1980’s

They probably are, despite being badged snap-on. They certainly look like Rigid.

Had to share this with you all. During lock down I have been building a shepherds hut, its coming on quite nicely and about a week ago I mentioned to father, I am gonna need a planer to flatten some floor boards, meaning I was thinking of a small one from somewhere like screwfix, I had a bit of a shock today 
when father picks up a beast of a planer. 
I said to father how am I going to move it about, he said you got a forklift haven't you, ha ha. So I had it tempory wired up this afternoon and its a beast. It scared me to death when it finally got up to speed especially the cutter block sound like a plane starting.
Its an old Sagar thicknesser dont know how old it is, but it will do what I need to do and more

Apart from the ratchet which is getting a bit iffy to select forward/reverse!! Mine's still going strong

From today's garage clearance a sykes pickavant valve lapping tool and circlip tool, this is the snap on set of pipe grips closer up.

u haven't mentioned the Archimedes drill edit just noticed valve lapping tool its still an achimedes screw though

A little update on the planner father picked up, I made a boob yesterday. When i started it it took a while to get up to max speed souded like a jet engine starting. Father heard it this morning and instantly said have you got all the phases connected I checked in the plug and it was only wired earth two phase and neutral, I removed the neutral and added the third phase, now up to speed instantly and not so scary, sounds alot better to after a good amount of grease and oil, the moral of this post alway check the wiring before playing with something new to you

well yesterday actually cica 1989 clarke drill press complete with milling vice
everything works ok but belts need looking at as still slack at full adjustment on motor maybe wrong belts ? and the bearings are well shot in the center pulley, and I need to find out what fitting the chucks on Plenty of engineering typish questions coming shortly
last weekend got this record 91 pipe vice should have took a pic before I freed it up it was solid with rust and park bench green paint. Had to cut it of the stand as the bottom 6" had just rusted away
need some one to machine me a new T-bar
And today two of these
no more looking for the grinder spanner !
