might be 50 feet? I know that the "survival" course I did in the late 80s was "don't eat from plants in roadside hedgerows".I hear you, but do wonder about all the crops. Besides I can get those stubborn boogers now my middle finger is 5" long
A neighbour lent me his Belle mixer to use and keep as long as I needed it, which I am grateful for. He said it might need a new belt. However, when I took the guard off I couldn't believe what I saw, the motor had a "Plastic Shaft " which had stripped itself out of the steel pully; an engineering design fail for sure.
The damage was too severe to remove the pully, but I did manage to repair it by using 3000 lb epoxy and then drilling through the pully & shaft and inserting a roll pin; how long it will last is questionable, but so far I've put about a couple dozen loads through the mixer without issue.
Thought I would let you know about this poor design feature, which might also be of interest to anyone who owns a Belle mixer, or those considering buying one.

Very nice. I'm trying to build up a better collection of metrology kit, can't bring myself to buy unbranded tools so it's going very slowly.
It will get moved in to new workshop. As for neighbourhood...fk em.err what are u going to do with all that gear ?? I bet your neighbours love you
I actually prefer imperial for machining, probably just because it's what I've been using for years but I used a metric lathe at uni and in my head I was converting everything to thousandths. And the metric stuff is harder to find, compared to those old tools with the meaningless fractions and numbers
It’s not just measuring equipment though... these lovely screwdrivers are M&W so they make it into the box!

Even more so when I block the road up with big hiabI bet they like you too !
