That's a neat idea
Looks handy, I am a little afraid so I charge mine in a glass oven tray under a smokedetector. Do have a cheap Chinese phone.

Thinsulate lined and fully waterproof, I'm looking forward to having warm dry feet this winter. And OH has already sorted out a cleaning and waterproofing kit for me after giving me as stern a warning as her 5' height could manage not to ruin them

can understand that , looking at my regular ex s over the next few months and the way things are might put it on hold , will see what the next month brings , think its going to be a harsh winter . ideal would be several small ones and a couple of bigger ones for doing the odd 50mm box etc . got enough g clamps to get me by at the moment and cant see using them till next spring so gotta put the sensible head on ,which is a struggle eh !

Few items have come my way this week.
With luck one more to arrive.
All delivered on time and they followed the instructions on what to do if no one was home.
Bar one. But a phone call had that sorted and a £10 gift voucher.
Some of this was gifted. Some wil be gifted.
A few grams of Citric acid.
Some wood polish and cotton waste.
Lubricating wax.
2 copper thick wall plumping fittings, They will be cut up to fix some paraffin items in MIS.
A new Stanley blade scraper.
Oh yes, from Hong Kong a small bulb planting spade.
I have odd friend there.
She also sent me some fudge, there was more liquorice ( black squares at front).
With luck one more to arrive.

Did you have to jump through endless silliness to get him ? A friend of the sisters was trying to adopt or rehome a dog from a charity, and nearly gave up.

I was keeping an eye out for a precision level for a while, spotted this on ebay, bid £20 and got it. Its about a foot long, and bloody heavy. I'd rather spend a few evenings cleaning this up, making a few screws or varnishing the case, than spending money on far eastern tat.

I do not really like buying Chinese tools, though anything i have bought from Arc Eurotrade has been quite good to date, so bought their MT2 fly cutter for my centec ( £16.76 incl vat)

Finally got a new bike light, 800 lumen but about as bright as my old 7000 lumen Chinese light, how strange.
It remembers what setting you used last which is nice, you don't have to cycle through all the stupid disco modes every time you turn it on, it's also got a charge indicator and recharges on USB (With a cable I might add, some lights have an integral male USB
). The perfect light doesn't seem to exist, I want a a removable 18650 cell and a "Dim" button akin to dipping a car headlight, this one comes pretty close though. It was reduced to £45 on CRC but I might have to add a helmet mount, with the aero bar extensions I don't actually have any room to mount it.

No not at all we spent a week walking him then a couple of hours at ours of an afternoon, we were lucky though to be recommended by a friend in the village who is a dog groomer. Then a simple paperwork exercise and signatures. A £300 "donation" is requested but as he has been chipped wormed flea`d jabbed and "done" seems very fair. The only stipulation is that if we ever give him up he has to go back to the recue centre - but that will be over my dead body as he is a star. Wife ran a bath last night, went to get her cuppa and returned to find him in the bath patting at the bubbles, so keeping him clean wont be an issue.
