scored this little lot, rescued from a skip, all full tins, the small tins are hardener for the big uns.

Well, not today but just before I got laid off 2 weeks ago, I was organising which of my tools were coming home with me and my gaffer gave me these as he didn't want the grief of the extra weight in his travelling case at the airport so they came home with me. 8mm, 10, 11, 13, 17, 19. Very handy.

Double ended (ooer missus ) box spanners with a through hole on the short side. Made, or at least sold by RS components.

3 g-clamps, a 6" taparia - very sturdy & heavy, an 8" Record & an unbranded 10" one.

A large valve spring compressor with a rack & pinion depth adjustment operated by a nice brass hand wheel.

Today I needed cheering up.
After yesterday bad news, I went out, had terrible coffee.
But some good finds.

Couple of 40/60 Bofar rounds, yes deactivated. But look and feel good.
@Tinbasherdan no you can not have the cases.

Early 1980's Mamod Steam workshop, with box and catalogue.

Late 1970's Lego Bull-Dozzer. Sadly no box and no instructions.
Plus not all parts are correct and some are missing.

Finally.

Mod Drafts Man Set, all complete, even some spare leads in the box.

Oh yes a early 1970's musical box, as Mrs TYA had one when she was younger.
It still works.

One of these, only one left in the whole of the HIS group [according to their website, which hasn't been updated since I picked it up this morning] - £75 [Google pic, but you all know what they look like anyway]

And was given this machine vice by a pal. He bought it years ago for next to nothing from a retired engineer, who'd made it as a project when serving his time with Rolls Royce. We reckon it must be c. 65 years old. Beautifully made and weighs 10lbs. Fine pitch screw feed so no 'slap' and all as tight and wear free as the day it was made. Very happy with it, will give it a bit of a clean up although it doesn't really need it. I've discovered the 'stop ends' on the handle are actually small roller bearings....

@The_Yellow_Ardvark I like that Mamod set. I found ours in the folks barn when tidying recently along with my old steam engine, more recent than that one though, early 90's and all the drive belts are knackered (stretched). Must have a go at getting the steam engine going again.

It was the roling that I was most interested in, bending a definite very handy second. I doubt I'll use the riveting function but even still, it is a very welcome addition to the workshop. Saves trying to make formers out of wood or the old gas bottle you happen to be using for a project to try to get some bar semi-round.

Probably won't be till next year till I get something going with it but once I do I will indeed post some kind of review. I really need to finish the garage before I can do much!

I have a Jakar set exactly like that (somewhere!). In searching for it though, I did manage to find a British Thornton adjustable set square. I also bought a drawing table at the time for Technical Drawing O level (which I also passed) - Happy days.
