Acquired this handy 3 drawer steel cabinet today, a guy at work kept it aside from going in the skip in case someone could use it.

I have a Jakar set exactly like that (somewhere!). In searching for it though, I did manage to find a British Thornton adjustable set square. I also bought a drawing table at the time for Technical Drawing O level (which I also passed) - Happy days.

Got a British Thornton compass, but can't see the make on the adjustable square (if that's what it's called?)

I will, do keeping someone like that on your side is always a wise move; I've slipped him a £20 in the past for his help.
Yes they are in good condition, too good to skip.

its not only that though is it , the fact is it is to good to skip and I really like re cycling(modern lingo) used kit of any description, just abhore waste.

Early 1980's Mamod Steam workshop, with box and catalogue.

Late 1970's Lego Bull-Dozzer. Sadly no box and no instructions.
Plus not all parts are correct and some are missing.

Mod Drafts Man Set, all complete, even some spare leads in the box.

Oh yes a early 1970's musical box, as Mrs TYA had one when she was younger.
It still works.

The lego bulldozer dates from the early 1980's & it was the first technics lego set I had. I still have the set somewhere & I should have the build manual. If I can find it I could scan it & send you a copy. Your model looks complete to me, there was usually something else you could build using the same pieces, can't remember what!

That's a nice skip save, well handy for workshop storage

Parm I was thinking it would be good to hold my lathe and milling cutters rather than them lying about as they are now.

This week I've aquired a dog! My sons on holiday so the dogs on holiday with us.
He's lovely, but totally barmy. (Ok I know he can't weld or do Lego but never mind)

Looks like we have a new dog for Christmas, local farmer took on a 4 year old collie as a potential worker, its a friendly thing but shows no inclination to work so he should fit in here. I cant take him for a week as I've got stuff planned. Anyway photo's when he arrives :-)

Yes. The guy couldn't be bothered to put it back on his truck. He said he wanted a drink so gave a pound as it's a pound for a cup tea up market. Happy days

Saw a bargian bin full of shiny fancy pants Irwin panel saws in Wickes only £8 each, reduced by 50 % ! there was loads so i decided to play it safe and check the price online,

£7 down the road in Toolstation !

Nearly got caught. Lucky my wallet has a padlock on it !
