A bit pointless, but novell. These things are nuts prices atm, but there we areEven has a clutch, quite rare - well done.
Thanks Brad. Never seen that before but a cool processExactly the same machine
Luckily it’s got the proper rototec powders for shafts.Nice, what Powders did it come with. All mine are for building up cutting edges, tooling dies etc.
I know, we can be square friends...I also have one of those
Brilliant bargain. Don't get those much these days.Twas only a 4 hour round trip, but worth it. The QCTP I think is a Bison tool post, all the other copies seem to have either round or rounded off edges to the piston, 4 no name holders, 4 of the holders are Bison 4494/6-48 (T00). The Jacobs rubberflex I couldn't find the nose for the chuck, so will have to make one. Most of the cutters are new as well.
Oh and the mill appears to be in VGC for it's age
Today I received my flypress. Smaller than I was expecting but a bargain.
Fantastic palletising job. Better than even I would have done! Saved me a trip to Wiltshire. View attachment 291263
The guy went back to Romania with his wife as they would have more family support for their new baby. I think he just bought and sold bits, unfortunately no lathe . The next door neighbor was asked to sell these off as he couldn't store them so I was lucky.Brilliant bargain. Don't get those much these days.
What fitting is the rubberflex chuck? And where is the lathe to go with it?
He's got a lathe, no ?The "J R Hartley" quest for a bolster and reasonably priced tooling starts now.....
Or "Hunton" bolster ?The "J R Hartley" quest for a bolster and reasonably priced tooling starts now.....
Indeed so.The "J R Hartley" quest for a bolster and reasonably priced tooling starts now.....
Absolutely. The thing that is a mystery to me is that flypresses are reasonably common; it's possible to buy one for sensible money. But the "off the peg" bolsters to take the punch dies are as common as rocking horse sxxt and are invariably subject to crazy asking prices. e.g.He's got a lathe, no ?
