Well that was an expensive purchase for a one-off tool. Korloy KGT Grooving tool and 2mm full radius inserts. £118

For a shaft job with literally x4 grooves.

That's the plan.
I've also got a 3.5" GPIO touchscreen for it, but need to do some reading up. Never used a Pi before, and my printer runs a BTT SKR Mini E3 board for an extra non-standard challenge. I can foresee some hair loss on the horizon..

I also fitted a touch screen but rarely use it, I just use the octoprint web interface on my phone or pc. I fitted a pi camera and can do all the time lapse stuff but it makes printing take an age as the print head gets out of the way when the picture is taken. Looks very cool though . The camera is useful to keep an eye on the print, saved me from wasting time with snapped filaments and birds nests a few times.
