A wee 100mm vice for the welding table; made (in my tiny yet overactive mind) by a lederhosen clad Fräulein in Germany - a Peddinghaus sold under the Ridgid name in the UK. I could've paid a tenner for next-day delivery with DPD but opted for free economy delivery - and it still arrived next-day with DPD!

You can even get an app for the octoprint that uses the camera to detect bird nests and stop the printSame board as me
I also fitted a touch screen but rarely use it, I just use the octoprint web interface on my phone or pc. I fitted a pi camera and can do all the time lapse stuff but it makes printing take an age as the print head gets out of the way when the picture is taken. Looks very cool though. The camera is useful to keep an eye on the print, saved me from wasting time with snapped filaments and birds nests a few times.
(not that I’ve ever bothered to set it up… usually find out 10hrs later

That's handy to know.
Anything I need to watch out for with setting it up for the BTT board?
I figured the display would be helpful for setting up as this wil be my first octoprint setup, but I'm sure I can find other uses for it.

Interesting... looks good in pictures and spec sheet anyway! be good to know what you think quality wise. I always thought Ridgid stiff was Chinese, but haven't had much experience of their stuff apart from strap wrenches.

Must admit that I was under the impression that they're (like most these days) made in the Far East so was quite surprised to see 'made in Germany', and they're certainly way, way more affordable than other vices made in Germany - Heuer for example. Mine was £103 and quality wise I only have old (British made) Record vices to compare to but I'm so far impressed; very stiff, opens and closes very precisely, jaws (albeit they aren't replaceable but I'll be using aluminium or copper soft jaws) close perfectly - and it opens up to a disproportionate amount for its 100mm jaw size! Very well painted too. Only minor thing is the rubber rings at the end of the tommy bar but packaging would be double the size if it were shipped fully assembled so I'm okay with that.
Oh, and welding nice and tidy too!

Found a new Multifix holder. Cannot get these at the moment. Not sure what happened to Create tools in Wuhan, but nobody has stock. Ordered material and will make 6. Good incentive to get my wire edm machine running

Today was a good day.
I got stuff.
Ended up in a second hand shop, well I was in the back of house area, sipping a brew and I saw this.
To must people a damaged wooden bucket.
Take a look on the rim, there are some metal brackets, now I know what they are for.
So I put it to one side for me. Then carried on chatting and was allowed to look in their dead metal bin.
Found this.
This is the inside.
I asked if I could have this as well.
I got this as well.
3 lumps of rubbish, unless you know what they are.
I found this pair on their shelf's and got them into my pile.
Now @Shox Dr Knows what they are, but for those who do not.
2 meths fuel camping stoves.
This is the last lot.
Nowt special.
The middle item is a jet cleaner for a Coalman lamp.
The first three items are not fitted together.
It is a Husqvarna Ice cream maker.

Today I acquired a portal to a whole new world of pain, one that I haven't experienced in circa 22yrs or so which was the last time I was a regular at the gym when I lived down in Englandshire; I've done nothing but cycling since - but that only does legs and lungs... and my core strength is appalling.
My understanding is that a rowing machine is second only to swimming for muscle groups used.
Like bicycles and various other products they've become rare as hen's teeth since lockdown #1, exchanging hands for more used than they would be new and I've had my name on the waiting list since before Easter.
Got the 'we have stock' email during a non-teaching period at school a few weeks ago... they sold within moments after that.
