I got more bubble wrap.

In the bubble wrap was some fun items.

A pair of tuned brass Mamod Steam whistles.

A few more Manod spares.
The supplier did add a surprize, another whistle.

The bottom RHS is the important bag.

A boiler repair will soon start.

Your Unigate bottle reminds me of helping the milkman when I was 12/13 and getting to drive the electric float along as we progressed with the deliveries.

I found this tiny teaspoon measuring bottle, sticking out the muddy side of a ditch.

The milk bottles with the foil caps aye. That's a pretty bottle too

This set was £22.99 today in Lidl.
It will just be used on my electronics table, low voltage projects ie: 9 to 12 volts stuff.

That's the problem with safe places, they can usually never be found again until you don't need it!

Milk bottle, no, the picture advert ones people collect now. Wifey used to collect them when milky delivered, but we got rid of all hers when we moved from our first house 35 yrs ago!

They don't make glass bottles like these any more well not for general stuff anyway.

My dad used to collect bottles, there's a lot buried in the Colne apparently. He had a shelf in the loft with all the best ones, I expect he threw them all away when he moved though. I remember pouring lemonade into a codd bottle and trying to re-set the marble when I was very young, didn't work of course.

I put antique diestock into my search engine thought I'd found a spanner type but elsewhere it has two legs , is there any chance that the other leg has been ground off & was polished to suit the rest of the housing?
Are your DE search engines liable to turn up something if you search for the technical German name equivalent ?

I'm pretty sure this part came from you over there:

- The ornamentation of the logo, we are not playful enough for that;

- If it goes into the area of old die holders, then in that period they looked something like this with us:

- If, in the days of my first apprenticeship, an apprentice who held the die-holder with only one hand risked whistling, then there was no such thing as a one-legged German die-holder in the period to which this piece belongs;

- This piece was always one-legged, nothing is milled away:

- That piece is much too nice;

- The screws in the head are 1/4"-20tpi - Now, finally, no more suspicion falls on us!

I wonder if it is a holder for a die that is being used as a thread chaser on long full thread rods for I can't imagine that anyone could successfully cut a good thread on plain bar/rod with an unequal pressure on the diestock /holder . Another thought I just had is that perhaps the die & stock holder are held rigidly in a clamp and the almost finely finished rod is turned through the die using a drill or lathe of some kind , that might result in a fairly good thread on certain metals.

Interesting that one side has been turned to a true circular boss , thinking cap back on ?
